Holidays or Memorial Days

On the days of national commemoration, work activities stop with the exception of those related to industries of continuous production processes that cannot be postponed including in this case transportation, hospital and health care services, pharmacies, funeral homes and cemeteries; gas stations, lodging services, tourist centers, communications and others authorized by law. These days are:

January 1st: Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
May 1st: International Workers' Day
July 26th: Day of National Rebellion.
October 10th: Anniversary of the beginning of the Wars of Independence.

The days of January 2nd, July 25th and 27th are declared as holidays as well as December 25th and 31st of each year.
