El Centro Provincial de Artes Visuales (the province’s Visual Art headquarter), located in San Antonio de los Baños, fosters events aimed at showing the creativeness from authors of this field. According to Evelio Sánchez, President of the Provincial Council of Plastic Arts in Artemisa, the Eduardo Abela Hall has as a hallmark the participation of young artists, thus becoming a measurer of the visual arts health at the province level, what are the courses and where the future work should be headed.

Sánchez, a prominent exponent of the Visual Arts in the territory, stated that: "The Salon is nothing more than a reflection of the ways of doing from the aesthetic point of view of a specific geographical area, other regions have their way of doing very specific, this is the reflection of what is done in Artemisa´´.
